Contacts loses categories

Contacts loses categories

When a PPC device has a hard reset, it loses its information, including Contacts. So the bug here is that the built-in backup/restore facility for Contacts on some PPCs does not save the categories for the Contacts. The missing categories can then propagate to other software that synchronizes with Concats. The work-around is to use more robust backup/restore software. Two commercial offerings thought to work better are Sprite Backup (main site) and PhatWare Pocket dbExplorer (main site). [Bugs, Top]
